Greg Jaunich has had a very successful career working in the wind energy industry. He currently lectures and teaches ethics as a guest lecturer and adjunct professor to students at the undergraduate and the graduate level. Greg Jaunich also serves as the director of ethics for various privately owned companies.

While his business career has been as successful as it is impressive, Greg Jaunich also holds many civic achievements. From 1997 until the year 2002, Greg Jaunich served as the treasurer and as the director of the American Wind Energy Association. The American Wind Energy Association is a nationally recognized trade organization made specifically for the entire wind energy industry. Greg Jaunich even received a commercial achievement award from the American Wind Energy Association for his outstanding work in the wind energy field back in the year 2000.

Greg Jaunich is an active volunteer participant in the development of renewable energy policies at St. Johns University. Greg Jaunich is active in wind resource assessment, potential educational component for campus wind turbine as well as wind turbine citing and measurement.

Greg Jaunich has studied  the feasibility of placing a wind turbine at numerous educational institutions. The wind turbines at these schools would be used for energy purposes as well as educational purposes.

Greg Jaunich is even a fan of hockey. Years ago, Greg Jaunich acted as a promoter as well as acting as an investor in the Minnesota Made Hockey Ice Center; a two rink arena established in 2006 in Edina, Minnesota.

 Greg Jaunich is quite active in his community. Greg Jaunich acts and has acted as a parent coach at the Minnesota Made Hockey Ice Center . He also acts as a parent coach for different youth hockey associations. Greg Jaunich was recently hired as a strategic consultant for the Gem Lake Lodge and Heritage Ice Arena, dedicated to bringing a hotel and new Olympic size ice arena to White Bear Lake, Minnesota. In 2012, Greg Jaunich was a guest speaker at the University of Minnesota, speaking about criminal law ethics.

Greg Jaunich - 20 Plus Years of Wind Energy Management Experience



For most of his professional career, Greg Jaunich has worked in the wind energy industry. The wind energy industry is steadily growing today. With people realizing how harmful the burning of toxic fossil fuels is to our environment, wind power has become an attractive alternative. The obvious dangers of nuclear power are also turning more and more people towards ultra clean and affordable wind power. Wind power is exactly what it sounds like, power that comes from wind. The burning of dangerous fossil fuels is not required when using wind power. All you need is, you guessed it, wind.

Greg Jaunich has developed a passion for alternative energy and has since started three separate wind energy companies. These wind energy companies are fully dedicated to the advancement and widespread usage of clean and affordable wind power. In the year 1991, Greg Jaunich started his first wind energy company, Northern Alternative Energy, Inc. This is where Greg Jaunich’ over 20  years of wind energy management and development experience started. Since Greg Jaunich built Northern Alternative Energy, Inc. from the ground up, he had many different responsibilities that were directly tied in to management.

After leaving Northern Alternative Energy, Inc., Greg Jaunich started Navitas Energy, Inc. where his wind energy management and development experience continued. Greg Jaunich stayed with Navitas Energy, Inc. from 2000 until the year 2004. A larger firm known as Gamesa, S.A. eventually acquired Navitas Energy, Inc. and Greg Jaunich went on to start Boreal Energy, Inc. Another company completely dedicated to spreading the usage of wind power.

After starting and running three of his own companies, Greg Jaunich went on to work as a strategic consultant for Wind Energy America, Inc. Greg Jaunich stayed with Wind Energy America, Inc. from 2007 until the year 2009. After his stint with Wind Energy America, Inc., Greg Jaunich again began work as a strategic consultant, this time for Sibley Hills LLC, Capena Wind LLC and Gem Lake Lodge LLC.

Commercial Achievement Award Recipient Greg Jaunich

Greg Jaunich has spent most of his professional career working in the wind energy industry. Though he has experience in other fields of work, Greg Jaunich has primarily worked in the wind energy industry. Between the years 1991 and 2007, Greg Jaunich worked as both the president and the chief executive officer of three different wind energy firms that he started and built from the ground up. From 1991 until the year 2000, Greg Jaunich worked for Northern Alternative Energy, Inc. Northern Alternative Energy, Inc. was Greg Jaunich’s first company that he started completely on his own. Northern Alternative Energy, Inc.’s sole purpose was to further the usage of alternative energy, primarily wind energy, across the United States of America. From 2000 until 2004, Greg Jaunich worked for a company he started called Navitas Energy, Inc. Navitas Energy, Inc. served a very similar purpose to Northern Alternative Energy, Inc. After working for Navitas Energy, Inc., Greg Jaunich started Boreal Energy, Inc. where he worked until the year 2007.

As you can see, Greg Jaunich’s wind energy background is very extensive as well as quite impressive. In the year 2000, the American Wind Energy Association recognized Greg Jaunich for his extraordinary work in the wind energy industry. Greg Jaunich was given a Commercial Achievement Award for projects he completed in the year 2000. Those projects for which Greg Jaunich was recognized involved developing and installing small to mid-sized wind energy farms throughout the Midwestern region of the United States of America. Greg Jaunich was directly responsible for developing projects that produced over 700 megawatts of power throughout the Midwest. The value of all of these projects combined totaled to be over $billion dollars. Greg Jaunich has done amazing things throughout the wind energy industry, and the American Wind Energy Association of America has recognized him for it.

Holding Different Positions in Business w/ Greg Jaunich



Greg Jaunich has an extensive business history. Greg Jaunich has been working for various businesses since the year 1983. Greg Jaunich has been responsible for everything from sourcing, training, hiring and managing developers and sales persons in every aspect of the wind farming industry to being the president and chief executive officer for three different wind energy businesses which he built from the ground up. All of these different experiences have made Greg Jaunich an extremely knowledgeable, professional businessman.

Back in 1983, Greg Jaunich began working for a company called Iowa Grain Co. while working for Iowa Grain Co., Greg Jaunich held the title of commodity broker. As a commodity broker, Greg Jaunich was responsible for the selling and purchasing of different commodities between companies. After finishing up working for Iowa Grain Co., Greg Jaunich went to work for a firm called Benson-Quinn Co. At Benson-Quinn Co. Greg Jaunich was once again holding the title of commodity broker.

After 8 years of working as a commodity broker, Greg Jaunich began working as president and chief executive officer of three different wind energy firms. Greg Jaunich also happened to found, create and lead every one of these business firms on his own.  Boreal Energy, Inc., Navitas Energy, Inc. and Northern Alternative Energy, Inc. were all brainchildren of Greg Jaunich.

Now, Greg Jaunich is currently working as a guest lecturer and adjunct professor teaching students about business ethics at both the undergraduate and the graduate level. Greg Jaunich is also acting as the director of ethics for a few different privately owned companies. Greg Jaunich does not see himself starting another business in the near future, though he does want to teach business ethical decision making at the college level. Greg Jaunich certainly holds the real world work experience necessary to be able to teach other people about the importance of ethics.
